Welcome. My name is Magali Mutombo. I am the avid foodie behind Blue Fufu. I have developed my passion for cooking over the last ten years. I love anything that has to do with cooking. Whether it is a show, documentary, book, event about cooking,you can count me in!
I was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and have also lived in Europe and North America. My palette was exposed to different flavors and I have learned to appreciate food as locals would have it. Over the last years, it has been so fulfilling to rediscover the food I grew up with and try to evolve it.
I do not have a culinary background, but I had the best internship a cook could have, which is learning from my mom. At a young age, I learned skills that have come in handy countless times, even though I wasn’t too thrilled while she was teaching me. For that, I would like to say: “Thanks mom!”
I am a wife to my handsome husband, Patrick, and a mother to the most wonderful boys! I thank God every day for giving me such a beautiful family. The journey had so many bumps, but we made it!
In my pre-babies life, I worked as an accountant. I have a double major in Accounting and Finance. I love sports and classical music. I would also like to run a marathon someday.
