slices of roasted beed in red wine with pears on a white platter

The holidays are right around the corner and this roasted beef in red wine with pears recipe is auspicious to the occasion. It’s a slow roast recipe that would require time to marinate and cook. The marinate has seasonal ingredients that go very well with rice, potatoes, vegetables or fruits. I personally love using pears during the holidays.

Gratin dauphinois with leeks on white plate

I know it is hard to believe since you see so many recipes using lots of cheese. I was happy to find out that I didn’t need the extra calories in order to get a “true gratin”.

amaranth leaves stew in white bowl

Amaranth leaves stew recipe is one of my favourite vegetable stew recipes. It is a leafy green and is normally grown in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. It is known under different names throughout Africa (biteku-teku, efo tete, ndunda). Due to immigration, you can easily find this vegetable in an Asian or international market in America. The plant is considered to be a superfood due to its nutrients and the health benefits from its leaves and seeds.
