Today you will learn how to make grilled broccolini in 10 minutes. It is an effective and delicious recipe that everyone should have on their recipe list. You will need less than 5 ingredients for this recipe and you can certainly customize it to your liking by adding cheese, bacon, breadcrumbs, etc… The possibilities are endless!

This recipe has saved me lots of time when I wasn’t sure what to put as a side dish. Also, it is one of my favourite since I have started my journey to go back to my pre-baby weight (yup, it is a journey…).

I enjoy broccolinis more than the regular broccolis. I usually get them from a wholesaler in a big bag and they don’t last very long.

They are a great side dish. They go well with meat, fish, salad, etc.

What is the difference between broccoli and broccolini?

Broccolis have thicker, crisp stems. They have a grassy, earthy flavour that’s mildly bitter. They can be steamed, sautéed, roasted, stir-fried or even pureed into a sauce.

Broccolini is not baby broccoli. This lengthy vegetable is a hybrid that is a cross between broccoli and Chinese broccoli. Broccolini is more mild, with a sweet, earthy taste. It can either be eaten raw or cooked , sautéed, steamed, roasted and grilled.

broccolini, lemon, parmesan, garlic a cloth

This recipe requires very little ingredients. I used salad, pepper, lemon zest, garlic and grated parmesan. This is all you need to give it a nice aroma and great taste.

Preheat the oven at 350F.

In a bowl or directly on your baking sheet, lay the broccolinis in a single layer.

Sprinkle them with salt and pepper, a dash of olive oil and the zest of a lime or lemon.

Toss all of them together to ensure that each broccolini is covered with the spices.

Put the baking sheet in the oven for 10 min.

After 5 minutes in the oven, use prongs to turn the broccolinis on the other side.

After 10 minutes, remove them immediately from the oven. Otherwise, they will burn! I have learned from experience. 🙂
