Description

This Prosecco gelée is a light, elegant dessert made with sparkling wine and gelatin. It’s simple to prepare, requires no baking, and is perfect for holidays, dinner parties, or a chic treat at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz Prosecco

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • ¾ cup water

  • 2 gelatin sheets

  • Ice trays or silicone molds

Instructions

  1. Place the gelatin sheets in a bowl of cold water and let them soften for 2 minutes.

  2. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  3. Remove the gelatin sheets from the water, gently squeezing out excess liquid.

  4. Add the gelatin to the hot syrup and stir until completely dissolved.

  5. Slowly pour in the Prosecco while gently stirring.

  6. Pour the mixture into ice trays or molds.

  7. Refrigerate for 24 hours, until fully set.

  8. To unmold, gently loosen the edges with the tip of a butter knife.

  9. Serve as is or with fresh fruit.

Notes

You can substitute Prosecco with champagne, cava, or a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage.

Serve with berries, citrus slices, or pears for an extra elegant touch.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
