Description

The perfect cookies recipe for the holidays!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 6 oz 70% dark chocolate

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Zest of 1 orange

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

1. Melt butter + chocolate

Use a small saucepan over low heat. Stir until silky.
The smell alone will make you feel like you should open a bakery.

2. Whisk dry ingredients

Flour, baking powder, salt. Set aside.

3. Mix eggs, sugar, vanilla, and orange zest

This mixture already smells like Christmas.

4. Combine the chocolate with the egg mixture

Stir until glossy.

5. Add dry ingredients slowly

Don’t just dump it all in like you’re mad at the bowl.
Gentle folds = soft cookies.

6. Chill for at least 1 hour

Don’t skip.

7. Scoop + roll

Use a small ice cream scoop (also linked on my Amazon storefront).
Roll in powdered sugar — generously.

8. Bake at 350°F for 12 minutes

Remove when the center still looks soft.
They’ll continue setting as they cool.
